US Arts Center offers enriched programs for childrens aged 4 - 13 at our Camp.

Main Programs
Art Class

 
Art classes include drawing, sketching, painting with different medium by professional art instructors. Students will develop their creativity and drawing/painting skills through carefully designed lessons.
 
Crafts

 

Hands-on fun activities to build creativity and imagination of kids.


Drama

With high energy and lots of imagination, we will play with scenes, monologues, and fun, silly theatre games. Kids will gain confidence and boost their self-esteem as they perform in a final performance for family and friends at the end of the two-week session.
 
Academics
 
Students will be challenged with academic work in Math, English, Social Studies, Science and Logic Thinking based on their grade, individual level and personal interest.  They will review what they've learned in the past school year and learn something new to help kick off the coming school term.
 
Exercises
Daily program also include exercise activities. 
 
 
Daily Schedule
Weeks with Art/Craft:
AM: academic work 1.5 hr; exercise 1.5 hr;
PM: lunch break 1 hr; art class 1.5 hr; craft 1.5 hr; reading 1 hr
Weeks with Drama:
AM: academic work 1.5 hr; drama: 1.5 hr;
PM: lunch break 1 hr; drama: 1.5 hr; exercise 1.5 hr; reading 1 hr
 

Additional Events/Activities

 

International Culture
Each day we will take students to different corners of their world, enriching them in the cultures and the arts & crafts of a variety of countries.
Animal Shows
 
Animal Shows
A show and tell program where students will interact with a variety of exotic animals and learn some interesting facts about the animals.
 

Chinese Painting

Students will learn the basic skills of Chinese brush painting.  They will practice the different stroke techniques and color theory, and implement them in pieces, which they will compose during this program.

 

Chinese Language

Two separate Cinese language programs will be offered to accomodate both students from Chinese family environment and English speaking family environment.

 

All lessons are designed with fun games, interactive dialogues. Students will experience Chinese culture while learning the language.

 

Field Trip

Fire Station Tour - This trip takes the children into the Fire Station where they will see first hand what the inside of a fire station looks like and learn its the basic operations.  Real life firemen will take them on a tour of around and inside the station and teach them about the importance of fire safety.

 

Nature Life Drawing

Garden Life Drawing -  A day spent exploring, sight seeing, picknicing and drawing. Students will have their choice scenery among gozebos, lakes, gardens or woods. As nothing provides more beautiful subjects than nature, their sketch books will come back filled with beautiful drawings.
